Personal injury lawyers and claims

Commonly asked questions about personal injury compensation:

The amount of compensation you receive will depend on a number of different factors, including:

  • The specific type of injury you’ve suffered and how debilitating it is
  • The circumstances under which the injury happened
  • The health and psychological effects that you are suffering from as a result
  • How much your working and earning capacity has been affected by the injury
  • How much your overall quality of life has suffered as a result of the injury

Whatever your situation, Stacks will build a strong case for you using all available evidence and our expert knowledge of the law, in order to fight for the maximum amount of compensation you are entitled to.

On average, a compensation claim case takes around 12-18 months to resolve, however some cases may be more complicated than others, and may take longer. Stacks will keep you updated on the progress of your claim, so you’re never left wondering where your case is, or how much longer you’ll need to wait for you case to be resolved.

Sometimes, an injury will fall under more than one Personal Injury Law category. For example, if your employer sends you to the shops to buy some coffee for the office, and on your way you slip, fall, and injure yourself on the poorly constructed footpath, you may be eligible for both Workers Compensation and Public Liability compensation. In these more complicated cases, your Stacks lawyer will advise on which categories of injury you can claim under, and combine categories as necessary in order to get you the maximum benefit.
