Jessica Stirling is a lawyer in the Port Macquarie office of Stacks Law Firm. Jessica has a Bachelor of Laws and a Diploma of Paralegal Studies from the University of New England. She was admitted as a solicitor in April 2024 and is a member of the Law Society of NSW.
While completing her studies, Jessica worked in a range of paralegal, legal assistant and hospitality roles, gaining valuable practical experience. Following her admission as a solicitor, she was promoted to the position of solicitor at a personal injury law firm.
With almost a decade of experience in the legal profession, predominantly in personal injury law, Jessica now practises primarily in workers compensation and work injury damages claims.
Jessica has experience in public liability, compulsory third party (CTP) and total and permanent disability (TPD) matters, with additional exposure to medical negligence claims. She has a particular interest in employment law and its intersection with workers compensation.
Jessica enjoys practising in her chosen area of law, particularly helping clients understand the legal process and working to achieve the best possible outcome for them. She has been involved in matters where the clients have achieved and settled a higher than 50% whole person impairment.
At her previous law firm, Jessica worked on various matters that achieved over $1 million in compensation. She was also involved in a matter which is currently under appeal, entailing a dispute over whether Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) should attract a whole person impairment,.
Jessica is highly organised, driven and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. Her caring and empathetic nature enables her to provide compassionate support to injured people throughout the legal process.
Fitness is an important part of Jessica’s life. She enjoys going to the gym, doing group classes, running and playing netball. She also likes spending time with family and friends and getting to know new people.
Jessica lives with her puppy, Ami, named after the cocktail Amaretto Sour. Having moved from Sydney to Port Macquarie, Jessica loves living near the water.
