Lenece is a Superannuation Insurance Consultant at Stacks Law Firm in Forster. She joined Stacks in early 2016.
Lenece’s role at Stacks involves looking for lost superannuation, checking all superannuation policies for insurances, contacting superannuation funds to obtain claim forms, and then assisting clients with the claim forms and lodgement. She liaises with the superannuation and insurance companies on behalf of her clients while the claim is being investigated. She also reviews the client’s position in regard to debts and checks their entitlements to any Centrelink payments.
Before joining Stacks, Lenece worked for many years at Centrelink, where she was officially the first female “Special Magistrate” in NSW, and also the first female Acting Area Manager. She then worked as an accredited Financial Counsellor for twenty years, the last fifteen of which were spent working for the Salvation Army. She was the only Financial Counsellor to receive the Royal Prerogative of Mercy for a client.
Lenece is passionate about her work. She feels that people have been very kind to her, and she enjoys passing that kindness on in her work and in her personal life.
Outside of work, Lenece is a very keen gardener. She adores her cats, all of whom she has rescued. For the past seven years, Lenece has been renovating her house, which is almost finished. She also raised her three, now adult sons on her own.
In the community, Lenece has turned her backyard into a neighbourhood café to encourage friendliness amongst her neighbours. They gather there every Sunday afternoon to share afternoon tea, although she is open “24/7”.
