A member of the Law Society of NSW, David was admitted as a solicitor in 1979 and was a founding partner of Collins & Thompson (now Stacks Collins Thompson) the same year.

David has wide-ranging experience, encompassing conveyancing, commercial law, small business law, wills and estate planning, estate litigation and legal practice management.

Outside of law, David is an organic macadamia nut farmer and is also heavily involved in the local community. He is a life member of the Lions Club of Hornsby, which he has been involved with for over 35 years in varying roles, including four times as President. David also volunteers as convenor of the Legal Aid duty roster for Hornsby Local Court.
