Kimberley was admitted as a solicitor in 2023. She has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Communication from the University of Canberra in addition to her legal qualifications.
She works principally in estate and property law and enjoys litigation, particularly estate litigation and succession law.
While undertaking her legal studies, Kimberley worked as a paralegal in suburban practices in North Ryde and Penrith, where she enjoyed interacting with clients who appreciated having a lawyer with professional and life experience outside law.
In her paralegal roles, Kimberley drafted estate planning documents including wills, powers of attorney and enduring guardianships. She also prepared executor affidavits for grants of probate and worked on estate administration and family provision claims.
Before becoming a lawyer, Kimberley held senior high-profile media and communications roles requiring the highest level of discretion and confidentiality. This included working for or consulting to the NSW government, including NSW Police, Transport for NSW and the NSW Electoral Commission.
She worked for seven years on the personal staff of a former Chief Justice of NSW, and has been employed by regulatory bodies, the NSW Bar Association and the NSW Law Society. During the Covid pandemic she undertook a contract role as Media Advisor to Brad Hazzard, who was then the NSW Minister for Health.
Other prominent roles included Public Liaison and Media Manager for the APEC 2007 Taskforce within the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, and Media and Communications Manager for the 2008 World Youth Day Coordination Authority.
Kimberley is a Director of Beneficiary Finders that produces evidenced-based reports and research about entitled persons to trusts and deceased estates, including on full and partial intestacy, and applications for statutory wills and research for other legal purposes. The company’s clients include solicitors advising trustees and executors in Australia, England and Europe.
Kimberley’s interests include current affairs and she enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends. She has relished learning more about her ancestors, who lived during the 1700s and 1800s in Canada, England and in Europe, including during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and more recently in the former Yugoslavia.
She has been able to confirm a few family “myths” and has enjoyed using DNA and other research tools to connect with relatives, whom she is looking forward to meeting.
