Nicola is a paralegal in the Stacks Champion office in Parramatta. She is currently a student at Macquarie University, where she is completing a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Criminology.
Before joining the Stacks network, Nicola worked as a volunteer at Aboriginal Legal Service, where she was exposed to many unexpected and high-priority scenarios.
Nicola acted as the first point of contact for ALS stakeholders throughout New South Wales, which meant dealing with many urgent enquiries and utilising problem-solving skills.
In the course of this work she was exposed to a wide range of legal matters, assisting with Supreme Court applications and working closely with solicitors and paralegals to gather relevant information.
Nicola enjoys the exposure she is receiving to business operations, as many of the debt recovery matters she works on involve careful analysis of company functions and internal communications.
Undertaking legal studies as a subject in high school inspired Nicola to study law at university, as did the desire to undertake a degree that was challenging. Pursuing a career in law also aligned with her strong interest in social justice, which has developed further during her studies.
When not at work or at university, Nicola likes to read, paint and participate in physical activities, such as going for a run with her partner or lifting weights at the gym.
