Cassandra is a goal-focused lawyer with over five years’ experience working in personal injury law. She speaks Cantonese and Vietnamese.
Cassandra joined the Sydney office after spending many years with another law firm, where she commenced as an office assistant before becoming a legal secretary, paralegal, graduate lawyer and junior lawyer.
Cassandra has successfully managed a busy practice of 200 files, including NSW workers compensation, Comcare, superannuation claims (TPD and IP), income protection, work injury damages, public liability/occupier liability, motor vehicle accident (MVA) and compulsory third party (CTP) insurance claims.
She has experience attending conciliation and arbitration hearings, and participating in teleconferences with the Personal Injury Commission and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Cassandra is highly sympathetic and chooses to work in personal injury so she can help clients who are injured, with no financial means or legal knowledge, to challenge big insurance companies with deep pockets.
Her skills include an excellent knowledge of substantive law and legal procedure, attention to detail, and high-level analytical and logical reasoning.
Cassandra initially found herself working in personal injury while she was studying law and looking for any type of legal experience she could find. Working as an office assistant in the personal injury field, she developed a curiosity about this area of law and has never left. She is looking forward to deepening her workers compensation expertise while working for the Stacks network.
Outside of work, Cassandra likes journaling, spending time with family and friends, snowboarding and eating. She also seems to spend an inordinate amount of her free time waiting for a good time to do washing and hang the laundry.
Cassandra likes to give back to the community, and volunteers every year at the Mothers Day Classic Foundation to support breast cancer research.
