Alyssia is a paralegal in the Stacks Champion office in Parramatta. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Psychology at Macquarie University.
Prior to joining the Stacks network, Alyssia worked as a legal secretary in a property and business law firm in Bankstown. In this role, she learned to create matters, make contracts and leases, attend to amendments, work on and register items on PEXA, create invoices, order searches and prepare verifications of identity (VOIs) and client authorisations.
She has also performed general administrative duties which have involved liaising with clients.
Alyssia has a particular interest in property and commercial law, as she enjoys the complexity of these legal matters and their unique challenges. She enjoys the problem solving involved in these areas of law and selecting the best solution from the range of different possible approaches to a matter.
Alyssia also has an interest in family law and criminal law, given their importance in society and to people’s everyday lives. Her decision to study psychology stemmed from a desire for a better understanding of human behaviour and a belief that such knowledge would make her a better lawyer.
As someone who is very organised and detail orientated, Alyssia is skilled in picking up mistakes and meeting deadlines. She is also very friendly and positive, which helps her to work effectively as part of a team and establish a solid rapport with clients.
Outside of work and study, Alyssia spends time with her family and friends, and regularly goes to the beach to swim. She also enjoys drawing, painting and photography.
