Di Branch is a lawyer in the Taree office of Stacks Law Firm, specialising in compensation law for individuals and corporations in NSW.
She has been with the Taree office for over four decades, first as a legal secretary for five years, then as a paralegal for 13 years working for Maurie Stack, and most recently as a practising solicitor for the last 24 years.
Di’s expertise lies in handling claims arising from work accidents. A member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance, she is an experienced and knowledgeable member of the Stacks team.
Di’s strengths are her attention to detail and her sound research skills. She establishes a strong rapport with clients through her empathetic approach and her understanding of the effect of injury on lifestyle.
As a paralegal she assisted in several high-profile compensation claims, including King v Sexton and Green, gathering evidence and statements, conducting research and handling cost recovery.
Di has also been involved in the commercial litigation area, handling much of the liquor licensing work for the Taree RSL & Golf Club, as well as the Australis resort at Diamond Beach.
Born and raised in Wingham, near Taree, Di spent three years in Canberra before returning to Taree. A self-professed “tennis nut”, she enjoys watching competition tennis and plays for the Wingham Tennis Club.
Di loves any kind of handicrafts, particularly cross-stitching and stained glass projects. A pet lover, she has two pure-bred Abyssinians.
