Sandra is a lawyer in the Taree office of Stacks Law Firm. She was admitted as a solicitor in 2021 and has a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Commerce in addition to a Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
Sandra has over 25 years of experience in transforming operations and managing businesses, with the last 11 years spent in the legal sector.
She was with her last law firm for over ten years, working as Operations Manager and then General Manager. This experience gave her excellent insights into law firm operations, management of legal staff and client interactions.
Sandra is very familiar with matter management processes and safe custody. She has been exposed to many areas of law, including commercial, property, criminal and family law, wills, estate planning and estate administration.
Wills and estate planning are of particular interest to Sandra, as she believes every person should have the comfort of knowing that their wishes will be upheld once they have passed. For this to happen, good documents must be in place.
Sandra enjoys working with clients. Knowing that most people have little understanding of the law and how it works, she enjoys helping people to navigate the process and make it more familiar to them.
As most people have heightened emotions during their interactions with the law, being able to reassure the client that their solicitor and the firm are there to support them can help greatly to put them at ease.
Sandra enjoys problem solving, from identifying the challenge to finding the solution. Coming from a managerial background, she believes greatly in systems and processes to achieve effectiveness and make life easier. In her mind, structure is key to making the world work.
Sandra switched to a career in law after working for her previous firm for over a decade. Enjoying the legal aspects that she was exposed to in her management role led her to studying a Master level law degree and practising law herself.
Outside of work, Sandra is happiest while gardening, reading a book or spending time with her adult children and family. She has 100 acres of mainly bushland, with many tracks that need to be maintained, which keeps her very busy. Sandra also enjoys beekeeping and recently took up golf.
Having recently moved to Taree, Sandra has begun to get involved in her local community through the Manning Valley Amateur Beekeepers Association. Over time she will likely look to become more involved in other areas, such as disability or aged care.
