Tamworth associate Anneka Frayne has been named as a finalist in the “Young Gun” category of the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards.
The Young Gun category is open to women under the age of 30 who are within their first five years of practice and who have demonstrated outstanding ability in the early years of their career.
Anneka’s submission focused on the diversity of her practice, which spans estate planning, commercial and rural leasing, commercial and agricultural disputes, family law and local, supreme and interstate court proceedings.
“I believe that starting my legal career in the country has been incredibly beneficial for me as a lawyer,” said Anneka. “It has meant that I have developed broad knowledge in a range of legal areas and formed an excellent understanding of how to relate to different people from varied backgrounds.”
Anneka’s selection for the finals of the Women in Law Awards has been greeted with enthusiasm across the Stacks network.
“We are delighted that Anneka has been named a finalist in these awards,” said Tamworth director Michael McHugh. “Her work with complex rural disputes has required her to be technically proficient across numerous areas of law.
“She shows initiative, she is communicative and relatable and she plays an important role in promoting the use of technology within our firm. I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.”
