William joined the Hornsby office of Stacks Collins Thompson in 2025 and was admitted as a lawyer in July 2026. William has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Modern History and a Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law.
William began his legal career while still studying law, working as a clerk for a barrister specialising in work injury damages claims. After graduating, he joined a workers’ compensation firm before completing an internship at a pro bono youth justice centre in Darlinghurst.
Since joining Stacks Collins Thompson, William has worked across a broad range of practice areas, including criminal law, wills and estates, succession law, family law and commercial disputes. He is known for his strong analytical skills, thoughtful approach and willingness to take on complex matters. Clients appreciate his empathy, resilience and problem-solving abilities.
William is particularly interested in succession law, being drawn to its complexity and the wide range of personal and family circumstances it can involve. He enjoys finding practical solutions responding to each client’s situation.
William hopes to develop his expertise in equity, which is an area of law that aligns closely with the principles of fairness and justice that first inspired him to pursue a legal career.
Among his career highlights are assisting with the successful resolution of a contested probate matter in the Supreme Court of NSW and acting for the estate of an Australian Army veteran.
Outside the office, William enjoys history, which was the focus of his arts degree, as well as cricket, golf and skiing. He is a member of a ski club and makes the most of every opportunity to hit the slopes.
